Two months ago I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease by a blood test. Just a
year ago I had a biopsy that came back negative for Celiac Disease. It
wasn't until I read an article sent by one of the members of this site that
I began to understand why this occurred. It appears that most GI doctors do
not biopsy the Duodondrum (not sure if proper spelling). Doctors will not
be able to detect Celiac at its early stages unless a biopsy is taken of
this area. It this is true many GI doctors are missing this disease until
it has become more progressive.
I no longer trust my GI doctor.
/?<BR> Does anyone know of a good GI doctor in Queens or Long Island?
Someone who is very familiar with this disease.
Thanks
Liz
