I wanted to let you all know that Dr. Alessio Fasano, Medical Director,
Center for Celiac Research, University of MD Medical School will be speaking
at our April 5th meeting.  The meeting will be held at the Davis Community
Library, 6400 Democracy Blvd., Bethesda, MD. 301-897-2203.

You are invited to attend the meeting if you would like.  He just published
an article in the Archives of Internal Medicine in February 2003 about his
study on how prevalent celiac is in the US - much more than previously
thought.  His paper says that they now believe that more than 1.5 million
Americans suffer from celiac disease, making it twice as common as Crohn's
disease, ulcerative colitis and cystic fibrosis combined.
