Recently I purchase a large bag of rice from my local Asian Market. I have
done this often. Although a different brand, I examined it and bought the
rice, not seeing anything unusual about it. When I got it home it had
written on the side: “Do not rinse, rice is coated with a fortified cereal
product.” I was surprised. This rice will go to an area food kitchen. I
just want to warn others to the fact that even rice can contain wheat. I
was careless, and after being GF ten years, should have known better. Glad
I caught it before it caught me.
