I'm a little confused about the genetics testing. I'm wondering if anyone can help.
If the genetic testing comes back negative, does that mean the individual does not have CD?
Our understanding (from our Ped GI) was that if you have the gene, it means you are predisposed to CD but that doesn't mean you have CD.
However, if you do not have the gene, it is less likely that you have CD, but this does not rule out the possiblity of having it. Were we understanding correctly?
I ask because I read some conflicting info.
Does anyone have insight into the genetic testing?
