Hi Ron~ I will ask your questions....... I'm still very interested in
knowing why so many people are having success w/ low carbing, yet the
*official* diet protocol has not changed despite obvious results?
Is it just that said institutions are slow to change, or they feel like
they don't have enough long term data? Or they hate to admit they are
wrong?
It just seems like SO many people fail on the ADA recommended diet &
handing someone a 1500 calorie per day sheet of paper & telling them to
*just do it* sets them up to fail miserably.
Then they are put on sulf drugs which can make a pancreas that is
already working hard fighting insulin resistance, and set them on a fast
track to pancreatic burnout & insulin dependency? Have they not had
enough years of observation to see that this really is NOT working? What
we have is 40% of Type 2's winding up on insulin. Frankly- I'm not
impressed/convinced that this is the way to go.
What's up with that?
I'm going to probe the low carb questions to the doctors @ the seminar.
How can they ignore people (type 2's that is) being able to get off
insulin & meds by doing low carb dieting & having excellent cholesterol
& A1c results?
Still it baffles me that increased fat intake would LOWER cholesterol?
Except that carbs ARE the culprit ? ! ?
Sure puts a Celiac in a double bind...... yet the trade off in health
benefits is worthwhile.
Pieces of the puzzle....
