Hi Fran,
I have some burning questions:

1. Could you ask if an autoimmune attack on the endothelial layer of vessel
walls could be the first event in atherosclerosis, and if anti-endomysium,
anti-reticulin, or anti-gliadin antibodies have been investigated in that
regard? There are cases of autopsies on celiac patients who were terribly
emaciated, with wasted musculature, but extensive atherosclerotic plaquing.
If not antibody mediated, what other explanations might there be?

2. Some diabetics develop painful skin ulcerations that are very difficult
to heal. I have been told that is due to excessive glucose. But the gross
appearance of the ulcerations are suggestive of autoimmunity, to me, as
they appear somewhat similar, although much larger, to the ulcerations that
I used to get when eating gluten.

3. Is there any ongoing research related to Frazer Scott's animal findings
of dose-dependent severity of induced diabetes mellitus? The pathogens
Scott identified are: gluten; milk protein; and soy protein.

I do hope you don't get flaming answers. (pun intended)
Thanks, and
best wishes,
Ron
