Hi all~ the listowner tells me we are 62 strong now..... so PLEASE feel
free to jump in with conversation at any time!
I'll start kicking around some ideas.....
* Are theere any diabetics out there who ARE not doing self-testing
(blood glucose meter) because your doctor did not advise you to do so?
* Darned if this dawning *morning high* reading is not getting stronger
with time for me... this AM it was 144. My goal is 110 & under. I know
different things work differently for individuals, but I need more
serious suggestions on how to put the kabosh on this.
* I'd like to hear more about Chromium & if anyone experiences different
responses to GTF chromium & chromium picolineate. Has anyone spoken
with their doctors about it? My Doc says there have been some reports
of toxicity above 200mcg per day. I asked him if he could provide me
with articles of said toxicity..... but he could not. CP books state
that 600mcg doses is where they see significant differences in bg(blood
glucose) lowering effects. GTF chromium is chromium polynicotinate--
niacin bound GTF chromium. This type was recommended to me by my
regular doc to help bring down cholesterol levels, (an ayurvedic herbal
blend), rather than prescription meds. It worked for me. (no I don't
sell any of it)
* Test your Doc: The next time you see a physician-- ask them if the
grain "spelt" is OK for Celiacs to eat. Then you can tell them it is
defined in Webster's New Collegate Dictionary as "wheat".
---A bunch of folks had been told by their doctor's to eat spelt on a GF
diet-- biopsy confirmed Celiac Sprue!
Please respond to the list! Let's get some conversation going here
folks......
