Hi David,

Oh, I see what you mean.  I've not had a radio where you could select
filters that easily.  The TS-440 I had for years just had them installed and
you had a rotary knob you would turn if you wanted something other than what
was automatically selected and then the IC-746 I had just had a menu setting
where you told the radio what filters you had and it saw them.  Then, you
could press a button for narrow or wide but that was it.  To me, the 2000
with the selectable filters from the front is very accessible but it may be
just a matter of personal taste.
