Hi Peter,
I've been using an external USB 2.0 drive for a while and
like it.... I've been using it on my W98SE machine (with a
USB 2.0 card). I'm reluctant to also use it with my new
XPPro NTFS puter for fear the files won't be compatible
with
the Fat32 machine. A smaller one would, of course, be
handier but this has been flawless. Bob

I have the same USB 2.0 box with a 20 meg Maxtor drive
that I use with a Windows 2000 ThinkPad for backup. I had
to add a Cardbus USB 2.0 adapter to get 2.0 port on the
A22 ThinkPad but it works like a champ.
I have my external hard drive formatted with FAT 32 and
the ThinkPad's hard drive is NTSF so you don't have to
worry about file compatibility using the box. In fact I
have a PC at home with Windows 2000 with the main hard
drive (C) formatted NTSF and a data drive (D) formatted
FAT 32.
