I agree with a previous post- if space & size is important, go DVD.

Officemax has the Cendyne DVD-R/RW on sale this week for $169!!! after rebate.
It also burns CD-R/RW!

I looked online & there's a very good chance that this is actually a Pioneer DVD unit.  Check the actual mdel # on the unit itself.

I just purchased a straight DVD-ROM from Officemax a few weeks ago (FREE after rebate) from Cendyne & it turned out to be a Lite-ON-- :)
