Dear Sir or madam

Can anyone help me with my problem? i recently bought an 'oldish' computer
from an auction just for my kids to use, so they don't keep breaking mine!
Unfortunately when i turned it on all i got was the computer specifications
on screen then a message saying 'invalid system disk please remove and press
enter' but there's no disk in the floppy. it doesn't give me a command prompt
just a flashing cursor and everytime i press a key it repeats the message.
Is there anyway i can wipe the disc and load a new system like MS WIN98?

I would be greatful of any HELP!

Thanks
Simon West
