If you're reeling from a long night of beating your drums and drinking
hard cider...your're not in the best shape to fend off the enemy tribe.
A prime (non-paleo) example of this, is the Battle of Trenton, where
George Washington and crew stormed in on the Hessians the morning after
Christmas. The Hessians were apparently hungover and groggy and had their
butts kicked.
