these ratios refer only to the intermuscular fat, not to the subcutaneous or
adipose fat. that fat, as Cordain shows, is even more saturated than
conventional beef.
in a fat wild beast, the adipose fat contributes a considerable supply of
saturated fats.

but they caught anadramous fish such as sea trout, mullet and salmon, fish
swimming close to shore and freshwater fish. most importantly, they caught
seals, walrus, whales. big supply of DHA/EPA.

most fish have a reasonable supply of LNA from what i remember.

they are the best option. the problem is we cant harvest sea mammals
anymore. that would make life easier and tastier. as it is, whales are
eating out the fish supply.

the transfer of ALA to EPA/DHA is variously quoted as 4-11% efficiency. you
would need a lot to do that. in many people the desaturase enzymes are
deficient anyway.
