FWIW, my 12 y/o dog is on a diet that consists mostly of raw meat, bones,
etc.  Yet, when she is given an opportunity to eat cooked meat she is far
more excited about eating it than her room temperature raw meat.

I've no idea why - other than that the warmth may just appeal to her; it may
feel better in her stomach or something.
