Oy vey, I've used those things. Did they stick on or did they fall off?
I had one on my arthritic hip when I fell and broke my leg, and when the nurse prepped me for surgery (to set the leg under anethesia), I had to explain to her what it was for! I think she thought it was a nicotine patch.

It's quite true in my case; my right leg gets really bad when it's cold.
Last week was the worse, but then, it was VERY cold last week! I was very
grateful for the blanket and chenille comforter I'd got for
Christmas/Hanukah.

You'll find several of us on the list (self included) who
have fairly severe back pain and spasms--more so when it is cold.
