Hi, I'm thinking along the same lines as you from what you say about your
problem, the switch or m/b.
I'd go for the switch first and keep your fingers crossed, as it's alot less
money.(or possibly the wiring from the switch to the m/b, maybe there's a
bad connection or a break in the wire)
If not, then I would look into the possibility of the m/b being at fault.
Maybe someone else has an alternative suggestion?
The switch or the motherboard seems the most obvious to start with.

I HAVE THIS PROBLEM TROUBLESHOOTING A
DELL L600R WITH P3 600EB PROCESSOR
WITH 128SDRAM,
PROBLEM WITH THE SYSTEM IS SOMETIMES IT BOOTS UP AND OTHER TIMES YOU PRESS
THE POWER BUTTON AND NOTHING HAPPENS,
I HAVE SWITCHED POWWERSUPPLY SAME RESULT, I HAVE UNSEATED THE MEMORY AND
RESEAT THEN IT STARTED,
BUT AFTER AWHILE IT GOES BACK TO THE SAME THING AS IF NO POWER IN THE
SYSTEM, BUT THERE IS A LED ON WHEN SYSTEM IS PLUGED IN. I'M THINKING
MOTHERBOARD OR
PERHAPS THE SWITCH ITESLF POSSIBLY?
ANY SUGGESTIONMS OR HELP APPRECIATED
