I have been trying very high fat, moderate protein, low carb with zip results
in terms of weight loss. I just don't know what to do. I feel satiated and
more energetic when eating more saturated fat, but I simply cannot get the
scale to budge even though I've added 1 hour of exercise per day. This is
very discouraging. As an experiment, this morning I tried a low saturated
fat breakfast (3 oz water-packed tuna; 1 cup steamed asparagus; 3 tablespoons
extra virgin olive oil) consisting of 500 calories and I felt hungry almost
immediately after eating it. Out of desperation I thought I'd give Cordain's
plan another shot. Yet when I have the same amount of calories in a breakfast
consisting of eggs scrambled in butter (I know, not paleo) or fatty red meat
such as veal tongue, I feel satiated. BUT, the scale hasn't budged in over a
month. I just don't know what to do any more. Any middle aged paleo gals
out there have any suggestions for what has worked for them??
