I have a list of contacts at a lot of publishers, if anyone is interested.
It has been most helpful. I got it from The California High Tech Center
Training Unit...their URL is http://www.htctu.fhda.edu/ and the staff there
is most helpful. Check them out and let me know if you would like a copy of
that list.
In states where the publishers are not legally required to make their textbooks available in alternative format, it is just about impossible to obtain them. Knowing that they *have* the format and just aren't making them available for everybody who needs them makes it even more frustrating. While we're waiting and hoping for Federal legislation to resolve this, what have people in other states done to obtain these alternative formats?
Thank you,
Eileen Haddon :)
