The four minute egg seems as close to soft-boiled perfection as can be.
Perfection being a lightly cooked egg white with a hot but uncooked yolk.
Mmmmm! Delicious!!
I bring the eggs to a boil and then lower heat by turning dial so it is
positioned between 6 and 7 o'clock and then start counting the minutes.
