I suppose "bulk" is the appropriate word here, but the percentage of
(feedlot) steers to heifers is not tremendously skewed toward steers.
Husband estimates it's probably close to 60 : 40%, meaning only about 10% of
heifers are selected out and kept as replacement breeding stock.
