Hi April.  Check with Handi ham and see what manuals are on file, for you
may find a second hand radio worthwhile.  You ask 20 different persons and
you will get 20 different answers.  Do allot of reading about them all and
ask a lot of  questions.  All on the list are able and ready to help.  Gary
