Hello,

It sounds like you formatted the drive using the FAT file system. It is limited to drive partitions of 2.0 gigs. In order to format the entire drive, you need to use a FAT32, NTFS or Linux file system. Windows 95 and earlier versions of Windows 98 did not support the FAT32 file system, so you may be looking at an Operating System upgrade.

When you formatted, Fdisk asks if you want to support large volumes. If you answered no, you will only get 2.0 gig partitions.
