I think we all know this, but my understanding is that
problems can come from the buffering that is used to make
the urine more alkaline. I don't know if this is always
the case, but calcium is taken from the bones to act as a
buffer, and many people say that this is why paleo people
had good bones: they didn't necessarily have a high
calcium intake, but ate a diet that was alkaline oriented
and thus did not experience a loss of calcium as a urine
buffer. This is mostly Cordain.
