I'd like to stop lurking and put my two cents worth in. I am acquainted with
cancer, my Dad died of it in my living room after two bouts with it and my
Mom has also had it twice. Her last time we were a part of an experimental
treatment using monoclonal anitbodies instead of chemo. I asked the woman
running the study about the name monoclonal anitbodies, specifically the
antibody part. I said the word antibody could pertain to a bacteria or to a
virus and since I didnt think that cancer was a bacteria, was I correct in
assuming that they thought it was a virus? She said yes that is what they
thought it was. That is what I think it is too.
Saying that fat will cause cancer is therefore somewhat off the mark.Cancer
is caused by a virus in my opinion. My feeling is the enhancement of the
immune system may prevent a cancer from occuring but that its not a total
guarantee. There is no total guarantee. Paleo in my opinion does a great
deal towards immune enhancement, if for no other reason than the elimination
of some problem foods-in my case grains. I just feel better, which, maybe, is
all any of us can really hope for.
