hi my friends,
I want to give an update about my hearing. One week ago I got a new program
for the implant. A man came from England to help my audiologist to make a
new program for me. I am very happy with it. I understand people very easy
and I hear the music very different, I hear my assistant typing on my
keyboard and it drives me crazy ;-). I am doing o.k. at school. I do not
have a n interpreter in all my classes. There are not many interpreters
here in Iceland. But I am o.k. if I can see my teacher. My teachers know
about my implant and deafness. I can comunicate very easy with my teachers,
but I want an interpreter to come in and help me. I have to fight for an
interpreter next week. If not I will ask my teachers if I can be in online
class. I think so because Bjarki, my friend was telling me about that.
Before the implant I was not very happy and now I am very happy and very
outgoing. I like to talk to people. My implant has changed my life for
better. I am thankfull for that. I want to thank my father for standing
behind me all my life. Takk pabbi and mama.
