Hi,
We also have those battery operated things that hang on the walls - great
for when the power goes out. I keep a couple, strategically placed in the
livingroom. Then I can carry one around with me til I get a flashlight. The
problem is that they're real battery hogs. Again, better safe than sorry.
Home alone after a falling injury is not fun. Been there, done that! I've
only fallen once since I got married (no injury). I think my fear is that
hubby wouldn't be able to look after the furkids for more than 3 days
without going insane so I pay close attention to myself and my movements. :)
Cheers!
Carla

I love those touch lamps. David gave me for my birthday - a Tiffany glass
shade touch lamp. It's beautiful and I can't stop looking at it. The only
problem I have with it is that it doesn't use fluorescent bulbs, which I use
in my lamps in the flat as they save on energy.
