Yes, there is a letter writing campaign to the Pope. You can read about it
and get involved at http://www.nuclearpolicy.org/pope.html.

I was at the Code Pink rally yesterday in DC (find out more at
http://www.codepink4peace.org). It was one of the most amazing experiences
I've ever had. There were so many people there... men, women, young kids,
senior citizens, dogs, everyone, all dressed in pink... I got to hear Alice
Walker, Medea Benjamin, and Helen Caldicott speak, and got to shake hands
with Janeane Garofolo. We marched about 15 blocks from the rally point to
the White House, but it went by really fast since the whole group was
singing and chanting. The whole way people were honking, waving peace
signs, giving us thumbs ups... When we went over a hill, as far in front of
you and as far back as you could see there were just masses of people. We
were able to make a human chain and totally encircle the White House, with
about two blocks space on either side, so that's a lot of people. It was
really an awe-inspiring day.

Hope I didn't bore you all, just wanted to share.
