You'll likely need to get one of two accessories:
Either 1) the PS/2 Y-splitter (that converts the PS/2 mouse port into separate keyboard and mouse connectors); or 2) the IBM-manufactured external numeric pad. I don't know what IBM charges for this option, but the Y-splitter cable is $35. I have the part number here somewhere if you need it--with that cable, you can use any after-market keyboard or external numeric pad. Without it, you likely cannot (I cannot on my Thinkpad).
