Keith,

I think you can get by with a regular ps2 keyboard. How many ps2 ports do
you have? If you only have one my experience has been that it is likely
configured for the mouse as far as plugging directly in but you can get a
splitter cable that's made for that purpose of being able to use a standard
keyboard and mouse from that one port. Whatever you do don't even look at
the IBM cable, you'll have a heart attack over the price. I believe that
radio shack makes the same cable for quite a bit less, under $10. I think
IBM wants $50.

Gary

Subject: Lap top question?

Hello every one,

I just bought an IBM Thinkpad laptop to take on the road with me this
year. The laptop does not have a numpad, so I have been trying to use the
key bord. BTW, I am useing Window-eyes.

We have enabled the accessibility option, but it is not much help.

I am thinking about adding an out bord key bord.

I have never used one.

My question is, do they use the USB port or something els.

And if you are useing the keybord on a laptop, how are you doing it?

Just to keep things in prospective,, this is my ham computer.

Thanks and 73
