IT was not sent to the list sTeve, however folks who'd participated in
a recent thread all showed up in the cc: list. THat annoys me a bit.
I'll wade into a thread where I think I can help somebody out with
useful information. HOwever, if I'm going to find I read about 10% of
the threads on a list and not be able to participate without getting
on somebody's forwards list of jokes and drivel then I gues I should
unsubscribe, a bother because I find useful info at times here.

Said my piece in a previous email to the list about this, but I noted
when I answered a query on this list last night that three or ofur of
us who waded into the discussion were all on the cc: list for this
forwarded whatever it was. YEs STeve, harvesters can subscribe to a
list and get your email address to spam you, never participating, just
grabbing email addresses. That's why when using usenet my address is
hidden, you have to read the signature at the bottom to get the
decoder.
