Tom,

After you have downloaded echo link and you have run the program for the
first time, hit alt P and hit control tab until you get to the signals page.
Start tabbing through the buttons on the signals page and make sure that all
of the radial buttons are set to default. The buttons between the radial
buttons do not speak. Two of the three radial buttons are already set to
default, but by setting the third radial button to default, it will turn on
an over sound so that you can tell when the other party has stopped
transmitting. If you hit your space bar before the other party has released
his transmit key, your space bar will not respond. With out the over sound,
its easy to lose track of whether your transmitting or not.

The easiest way to contact a station is to hit control O and enter the call
sign that your looking for. Hit enter after you've entered the call sign
and the program will either make a connect sound, or you'll be told that the
station your trying to connect to is not on line.

Hope that helps a little!
