There is no rule that says you cannot carry ham gear on a flight...you
cannot use it. I just broght two HTs back in a carry-on back pack; along
with my laptop computer; at New Year's.

I won't lock it, and I had been under the impression that you can't carry
it in carry on. I usually go with all my stuff in carry on any how, and
it is small enough, and I could have my mom ship my general coverage
receiver down there.
