Hi Jeff,
Well, I didn't get a chance to partisapate in FieldDay, but I can tell you a
little bout the Kenwood 440. It is a pretty nice rig, and yes it is pretty
user friendly for a blind person. I use to have one, and I liked it a lot. I
have a 570dg now though, and I like it a lot better.
