I have a g5rv up here in VEgas.  I am not real impressed, but don't know
what to expect as well as propagation here either.  I used this one
before, once at college and once at a store I had.  The one at college
worked great and the same antenna in the other location didn't work well
at all, so it is kind of amixed bag.  I think it is a good compromise
antenna though, and you will need a tuner of some kind.
