Well, i'm sure you are right, but I can't get the damn thing to reset.
When I do that and turn the tuning knob, it just jumps from memory 1 to
memory 2, the only 2 channels I have in it.  I can't seem to get into the
menus.  I'm really at a loss what I've screwed up on this thing. I'll keep
your very good instructions for reference though.
