I'm curious as to what others find advantageous in win98 compared to winME?
I jumped from 95 to ME and therefore never experienced 98 to any degree. I
now have XP pro and a faster machine. Can't say that it performs any better
than ME on the slower machine. Is there something in XP that I'm not seeing?

What really helped speed ME, was going into msconfig "startup" and
un-checking everything that wasn't needed to make the system run. That
resulted in minimal programs running in the background and very fast bootup
time.
