Hi Andrew. I understand that commands on all echolink
nodes and repeaters are the same, that is to say that
you use the same d t m f tones to control the echolink
program via the repeater, but some systems are set up
to require additional key strokes to control echolink,
additional key strokes that are unique to each local
system. The best thing to do is get on the repeater
and get the control operator to give you the codes.
I'll run your call through qr zed to get your grid
square. Then I can plug it in at the echolink web-site
to find what repeater you might be using. Then I'll
bring it up on echolink and give you a call. I can
find the universal codes for you I'm sure, but you'll
have to find out from the owner or control op what the
extra key-strokes might be if that doesn't work. I can
say off the top of my head that if you know the node
number you want to reach, you can dial it in directly,
after any repeater specific codes are entered, and I
believe to disconnect it's 73.
I'll write again when I find out more.
