In discussion with a local rigging shop they tell me that Kevlar is not best for UV protection for guy ropes for towers.  Aside from Plystrand which is nearly $1.00 per foot what suggestion can you all come up with for a 50 foot telescoping mast.  I do not repeat not want to use wire guys.
