You can create books and documents in the new DAISY format that is
becoming standard
for books from NLS, Bookshare and Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic. The
DAISY
format provides readers the ability to use documents as people have done
for years with
print. The reader can locate chapters and pages in the middle of the book
without painfully
starting at the beginning every time.
There are tools to let you create DAISY books without your needing to know
any of the
underlying code. Understanding good structure for a document and how to
create it is the
main secret. Yes, YOU can do it too!
Registration is $195 but free to EASI Annual Members!
The EASI 4-part Webinar series for March will explain the process and walk
you through it
with some major, commercial and free software.
The presenter is Karen McCall who is an excellent trainer and is an expert
on accessible
documents.
