advance merry x'mas to all...

i have an asus p299-b motherboard w/ 128mb of ram & running under win98se. i
tried adding 1 pc of 128mb sdram. but when installed my  machine detected
only an additional of 64mb. it tried also adding 256mb still 128mb is being
detected.

anybody knows why this happens and can anybody give us more info with the
new sdram coming out of the market.
