Hi,

Reason to switch off the Write cache is to write to the HDD right away and
not have the info in cyberland if the power were to go out. With the Write
cache enabled the info is in memory, and writes to the HDD in between other
tasks.  So if the power were to go out the info would be lost, thus
corruping the database
