This is the second hard drive I've had to recover for this computer with the same operating system specs and it did work before so I assumed it would work this time. (but you know how that goes!)

Another thought that comes to mind, which is more of a question than
anything: I'm assuming that win98 would read FAT16, but would win95 read
FAT32?
Just something that I'm not sure of the answer to, but I suppose it could
make a difference which way round you were trying to read the formats. What
I'm really asking is, you could read win95 on a win98 machine (I presume,
I've never tried), but could you read it ok the other way around?
