I am not doing a clean install. I was installing over an
exisiting OS. When I booted with win xp cd, the following
3 options were displayed:

1. Setup

2. Repair

3. Quit

At first I selected the repair option ang got to the
C:\windows directory. I did not know what to do with the
windows directory and after re-booting the system I
chose the setup option. I ran setup and succesfully re-
installed win xp. After re-booting from the hard disk the
sytem hanged again. I was left wondering wheather this
was software or hardware problem. Ther is only one 40
GB hard disk.
