As far as I know that functionality was removed from winME. You can
create a "startup disk" through control panel->add/remove programs, and
then delete the majority of the stuff on that disk. I never found
another way under ME. You can create a basic DOS boot disk under WinXP
the same way you've always been able to under 95/98.

I know this is probably a pretty stupid question for this highly
technical oriented group of folks, but the most stupid questions are the
ones that go un-asked. Soooo-how do I create a "system Disk" on a 3.5"
floppy in Win ME? When you do a "Full" format request, " the create
system disk" option is not offered as I've seen in Win 98.
