My cardiologist told me that people with irregular heartbeats should
avoid chamomile. I had a genetic problem that caused an intermittent
arrhythmia...I had it surgically corrected a few years ago. I am still
advised to avoid chamomile and make sure I stay well hydrated to reduce
the risk of future arrhythmias.

I am also allergic to ragweed, so that's all the more reason for me to
avoid chamomile.

A particular reason to avoid or sharply limit chamomile during the fall
allergy season is that it can exacerbate the symptoms associated with
ragweed allergy.   If you react to ragweed, one of the most common
respiratory allergens, you may also react to chamomile.
