Hi Darcy,
I don't eat STRICTLY Paleo, I allow myself 16-24 ounces of coffee every
morning and two ounces of cheese in the evening (no other dairy) and a glass
of wine or a cocktail 1-2 times a month.
My BF is not eating Paleo, but we can usually eat together without too much
difficulty.
A typical dinner is meat cooked on a spear over a fire (OK, actually it is
grilled out on our porch, but it sounds more Paleo the other way) a green
salad and a cooked veggie. Frequently the cooked veggies are chopped and
sauteed in olive oil & he has his over pasta while I have mine in a bowl.
It will be more difficult for you eating with a vegetarian, but it can be
done.
For example, a meal might be a salad that you both eat and a veggie stir fry
to which your partner adds tofu or tempeh and you add meat.
As for soda and sugar, that might be more of a problem if you are tempted by
things in the house. I don't have much of a sweet tooth so stuff like that
doesn't bother me, so I don't have any suggestions.
:)Robyn
