when i read what chomsky had to say about the arab situation - of course -
it was yet another culture shock - 1/2 million children killed - PLUS... -
a
consequently act not so much by the american people but rather by uncle
sam's partnership/involvement with BIG BUSINESS.

it seems to me that the difficulty of
integrating history
into the social consciousness of individuals
is the crux of our problem.

what i mean by this is that the
nightmare
that we are being asked to
embrace
is unthinkable.

and i'm speaking out of my own experience PLUS some.

if we are to overcome this blockage towards peace
how are we do just that?

it's my opinion that no matter how precise chomsky is
getting it is impossible
without
acquiring the presuppositions from a given political context/history
in chinese philosophy terms
it's not about explaining what chomsky's words are about
but rather
what his words are about
in chinese terms it's referred to merely as the seeking out of the flesh
and blood. at the core of this theory is the idea that nowadays we study
for the sake of others and not for the self.

what do i mean by all this?
well, last semester
as the result of viewing tutu's a journey towards peace
i came to the conclusion that
this spiritual adventure requires us to objectify and subjectify the
process of overcoming inner shadows. in other words, in this attempt to
gain the truth of what's happening there is a need for a subjective focus
to bring balance to this inquiry. a subjective focus is needed because its
purpose is focused on helping one find "one's true self and the mana to be
gained by respecting the earth and animals and all living things." the
point is, in this process there is a stress factor, namely, "the
confrontation of inner shadows to the glorious possibility of persaonal
resurrection" is overcomed with the aid of some means to restore inner
harmony.

if you can read between these words and sentences, then you know why it is
that we integrate history into the social consciousness of individuals
with sensitivity, compassion, and wisdom. because survival is it. in
other words, we want to emerge from this experience
whole
sound
balanced
        physically
        mentally
        spiritually

wishing all lots of happiness and good luck in 2002.
