Jarhead is an alternate term for Marine. (U.S. Marine, I don't think
its used on the citric variety). I believe it is derogitory...never
met a Marine I would take the chance of finding out the hard way.
Marines tend to be Marines for life. But I suspect the term is derived
from uniform hair cuts and thick necks.
