Hi Richard.

Lou, K2LKK here.

I am running the GAP Titan Vertical.  It is very tall.  If you are not
going to put it on a sturdy mounting structure such as their tilt over base
anchored in concrete, then you absolutely do need guys on it because of the
height.  So far, I've had good results with their base under winds of up to
70 mph.
