    If you're talking about an HT, I'd strongly recommend the Kenwood THF6A.
A bunch of us on the list have one, and have had lots of luck getting it to
do what we want.

The radio doesn't give verbal information, but the menus and settings are
fairly easy to learn, since they are marked off by a series of beeps and
other indications that are easy for a blind person to master.

The other possible HT would be the Icom T290A.  I don't know if I have the
number right, but this is an HT that reads the frequency out in CW.  Many
folks on the list have this radio as well.

If someone on the list could correct me on the model number for that Icom
HT, I'd appreciate it.  The memory is not what it should be tonight.  HI!
